To be honest not my fav Discworld book, it is a lot less funny then others to me, and the theme of war felt better handled in Jingo. I found the side characters under used specially Igor(ina) and Jade the troll.  I adore Jackrum through, I really do.

Sweet Polly Oliver and a deep dissection of fantasy tropes by way of social satire.

As brilliant as ever, can’t beat a good Terry Pratchett!

Feminism, equality and the ridiculousness of wars, all in one book

A very interesting and thoughtful commentary on the place of women in a country at war.

Always a little disappointed by the strange deus ex machina at the end, but otherwise the ending is satisfactory.
