It was a great story with good pacing but because it is so well written the graphic subject matter was just too triggering for me. Definitely look up the TW's before reading this book. I did and thought I would be fine. I was not. I am going to Google the end because it's such a great story.

I loved this book! It’s an unputdownable fast paced thriller. I recommend this one if you like mystery/thriller novels with the following tropes:
•badass FMC
•popcorn thriller
•kidnapping/confinement
•athlete (olympic level biathlete)
•inspired by true events
•homesteading/doomsday preppers

I finished it in a day cause I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It became even more incredible after reading in the acknowledgements that this story was inspired by true events! I enjoyed Run On Red by this author but I loved this one even more! I look forward to continuing to read through Noelle’s backlist.

The fact that there are people out there that are actually like this is horrifying to think about. But the story was really well told and I truly was on the edge of my seat until the very end.
