I really liked some of the stories, but really didn't like some either.

Dark fairy tale collection by some great authors that I've read before, but I just couldn't get into some of them.

What is not to love about steamy, dark retellings! All of the stories are kindle melters that will leave you one-clicking new books!

My personal favorites have been Skye Warren's King Midas a story I wasn't too familiar with because I wasn't sure how she would spin the touch into gold angle, but it's really good!

Sierra Simone's the Princess and the Pea! Be warned that Princess has characters from the American Queen Trilogy;) In my opinion, it made it even better!!

First of all...can I just say...this cover is gorgeous!! This anthology is filled with your darkest, dirtiest fantasies. The tales inside twisted fairy tales that include filthy rich men, a masquerade ball, and dark desires that will be fulfilled and they are written by some of the best authors in the industry.

Every story within this anthology is a fully complete short story that is a new twisted take on a beloved classic fairy tale. Each one is centered around the same evening of the same masquerade ball, but then they each have their own plot aside from that similarity. Whether it is Cinderella, Snow White, or Beauty and the Beast each twisted story will steam up your reading fantasy and give you a HEA.

Here is just a peek into a few of the stories contained within the anthology:

King Midas by Skye Warren; Raoul Midas is a man who can turn anything into gold, but he loathes human touch. He finds pleasure in woman by buying their affection, until he hires Anita to be his escort to the masquerade ball. After just one night with her he know he needs more, but is he willing to give in to her touch.

The Princess and the Pea by Sierra Simone; Morgan is a Domme at odds with her own wants and desires. Morgan believes she should only be in charge, but when she gives in on the night where her ex tempts her with all of her desires she is torn between the other half she has always tried to keep under control. Is she really ready to give that part up of herself?

Beauty and the Beast by Willow Winters. Calum may be known as a beast to many in the business world but Annabelle isn’t afraid of the man that has sets his sights on her at the ball. When the night escalates and she finds herself back at his home she isn't afraid of the beast, even when she discovers he wants to keep her forever.

King Thrushbeard by Cora Reilly. When Jean has to marry to save her family, she didn’t plan on the overbearing Peyton to come along and demand all her firsts. Set out on defying Peyton she goes to the ball to give someone else her firsts, but she also didn’t plan on a mysterious stranger to intrigue her quite so quickly.

Snow White by T.M. Frazier is a dark retelling of the Hunter and Snow White that has every element of original fairy tale, including where the stepmother wants evidence of Snow White's death which includes her bloody heart. This tale isn't for the faint of heart and is by far the darkest of the stories...but if you know and love T.M. Frazier you wouldn't have it any other way.

Beauty and the Beast by Willow Winters

This was a more modern darker version of the fairytale a story if you will that still stands the test of time. I love when a arthur takes a classic and makes it their own and this arthur did this. I'm not giving much away other than this story is worth the read just like any of Willow's book's your never left disappointed she has such a way of grabbing you from the first word to the end as she tells a story and spinning this web of magic of hers.

A fabulous collection of twisted and delicious fairy tales.
I have only read Skye Warren's version of Midas's Touch and it was so good. The word play of gold and the lack of touch was scrumptious.
I need more of this story!

Decadent darkness to invade your twisted heart

King Midas- Skye Warren 5 stars

This Midas has my panties in a twist. I can honestly say that has never come out of my mouth (or finfer tips typing before). Skye Warren gave us a story unlike any other. I never felt bad for the original Midas and yet this Midas has both my sympathy and compassion. He could also take me...but it seems he has his own queen.

Only regret...Skye Warren didn't make it an entire full length novel!

Rumplestiltskin - Celia Aaron 5 stars

Holy hotness!!! To think I thought, I would never be able to picture anything but the troll like being that represents Rumplestiltskin in almost ever book. No more. This monster is the kind I crave, the kind I pine for, the kind every girl needs. Celia Aaron keeps you hot, guessing, and on edge...until she gives it all to you.

The Princess and the Pea - Sierra Simone 5 stars

Fans self vigorously! I can't tell if the arousal caused by this story is causing hot flashes or just super heating my blood. Sierra knows how to make you squirm while smiling with a secretive smirk. The Princess and the Pea is no exception. Just wow!

Little Red Riding Hood- Karina Halle 4 stars

Little Red Riding Hood what a lovely cape you have. Little Red Riding Hood what a lovely dress you have. Little Red what a lovely job you have. This Little Red Riding Hood may be little but she certainly isn't the indefensible young thing of the old story. Her world is equally as dark and yet her Wolf is not quite as scary...No this wolf is far more deadly.

The Ugly Duckling- CJ Roberts 4 stars

Is it weird to say that this story is motivating!?! A dark and twisted story that inspires hope!? It’s weird but true. For all the crusaders out there, CJ Roberts is here for you.

Beauty and the Beast - Willow Winters 3 stars

A tale as old as time... Beautiful girl and a monster. Willow Winters makes sure the debt is paid, one way or another.

I'm actually a little bummed. Willow Winters is very good at the dark and dirty. This version of my favorite fairy tale felt phoned in. Knowing the intricacies of a deviant mind Winters often shows, this one fell flat for me. It was okay but no where near the caliber I expected.

Jack & the Beanstalk- Marley Valentine 4 stars

Talk about dark. Marley Valentine brought some sadistic fun and some serious longing to this party. The connection, the tension, the overwhelming lust are all drowned out by the unmistakable and unavoidable fact that it's really love. Twisted and seriously f-ed up love, but still love!

King Thrushbeard- Cora Reilly 4 stars

This daring and delicious king makes me want to be the spoiled daughter. Not having known the story, I googled it and did a quick read. I appreciate Cora Reilly's smoking hot version. What can I say, other than I love stubble for the very reason Dark says!

The Swan Princess- Natasha Knight 4 stars

A tease of what's to come or just the beginning... It's both and yet it's already happened. Talk about a conundrum. Natasha Knight set us up and I'm ready to fall!

Cinderella- Aleatha Romig 4 stars

No Cinderella story is complete without a spectacular pair of shoes. Seems Ms. Romig was aware and clearly well prepared. This fairytale has all the wonder, glitter, and hope of Cinderella. It even has a mouse- some things must be kept. Evil stepsisters and terrible parentage aside, this Cinderella has so much to look forward to.

Snow White- TM Frazier 4 stars

Snow White never looked so innocent. The Hunter never looked so hot. I definitely approve of their version of this fairytale. All the pent up, tied up, and chained lust leads to two halves finding a whole...a whole fing happily ever after. Or is it happily ever fing after...

My review is for the story by Willow Winters. I am a sucker for The Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely loved this dark fairy tale and wanted it to continue! Ms. Winters' take on this story that is familiar was refreshing and unique. It was a great and quick read!
