gypsy rose blanchard should sue the shit out of james patterson. the lines of the cops when they find her mom are beyond unnecessary.

Very easy read. Although these were true crime stories I somehow felt like I was reading fiction.

The two stories in this book are true. Some places and people's names were given other names to help their identity. These are part of a series, so I might have to read the next one.

I really like his writing style and story telling! However, didn’t love the ending!!

Murder, Interrupted is actually 2 stories of 2 true crimes. The books read like an episode of 48 Hours or another of the sensationalized true crime investigations on TV.
The first story is about a businessman in TX who hires a hit man to kill his wife. The second story is about a mother with Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy who has kept her daughter confined to a wheelchair for years. The daughter, Gypsy Rose, tells a friend that the mother is dead.
Both of these stories are quick reads, as well as interesting, especially since they are true.

These books are great audiobook listens. They are simple enough that I understand the story while just hearing it(which I have a hard time with), but they are still entertaining. They are very easy to fly through without much effort. This book had two interesting cases. The second one being my favorite. These books definitely make me want to watch the show!

Light read, as are all Patterson works (and the works like this one where he is obviously just an editor and the actual writing is done by the "co"authors- but his name makes the sales soooo...). First story was kind of confusing in terms of the timeline- it had Parts labeled as different months and years but the narrative didn't always make sense in terms of those labels- but the case was interesting. Second story was the now infamous Gypsy Rose case so just review of basic facts there. Fine for a snowy day quick read.
