Finished reading Everything Under by Daisy Johnson. I feel unable to form an articulate opinion about this title. It WAS good though. I'm not sure yet HOW good. I listened to this as an audiobook and unfortunately that has potentially clouded my view. I didn't like the reader and I think the book may have been better if I'd read it with my own voice. However, I can't really think of why it deserves better than a 4 star rating. If anyone thinks it does, please do tell me why because I'm feeling unsure of my own assessment. 4 stars.

Everything Under is a modern day retelling of a classic Greek myth. It just didn’t work for me. I found it a bit too dark and unnerving but that is more about me than the book itself. The writing is compelling and beautiful and I suspect it will be a real contender to win the Man Booker Prize.
