This book is a smooth read. I could not put it down. You can tell by the writing and humor that Trevor wrote this book. I laughed, I learned, and I cried. I value the honesty and cultural differences. But I will state there is animal abuse in the book and I don't think it was taken as seriously as it should have been and that disturbs me. So take this as a cautionary warning, but still read the book.

最初了解到作者还是在b站搜索各种Netflix上的stand-up comedy，被这个小哥深深吸引，tiger mom的形象被描绘的栩栩如生。在西雅图的亚马逊书店开始这本书，回村发现hardcopy和audio版本都要排队，只能通过学校借，希望有机会能听到他本人narrate的audio版本。看到很多评论说特别有趣，很期待！

Made me love Trevor Noah more. Hearing of his childhood alongside Apartheid gave a really unique perspective on this dark time in South African history.
