Fascinating book by a great storyteller. A funny, heart wrenching picture of life in South Africa during and after apartheid. Definitely recommended.

usually i like to listen to audiobooks for memoirs but don't think the library had an audiobook version but i was able to read thru this which says a lot about how interesting/engaging it was bc i rly struggle ot read non-fiction haha. i started listening to his podcast in the past year or so, so it was nice to get to know more about his background/early life and he's such a funny person/character that i could rly hear his voice throughout his whole book

Got to almost hour 3 of the audio & can't do it anymore. It's just not holding my attention. And the last thing I heard - the cat part I definitely wished I hadn't heard.

Mostly I have a very hard time listening to audiobooks at normal speed. Takes too long.

Masterfully narrated by the author for the audiobook version. I'm not the biggest fan of his work on the Daily Show, but I adored this book and I'll definitely be reading more of his work.

Absolutely spectacular and powerful memoir. I have learned so much about Trevor Noah’s personal history and his perspective on Apartheid and I will recommend this to everyone who asks.

Este libro es la cosa más hermosa del mundo. Amo a Trevor Noah, se merece todo el éxito que ha conseguido. Todo el mundo TODO el mundo debería leer este libro.

Fun, hilarious, and at times heartbreaking book. Great autobiography. A great book to read to learn about race and its modern origins and consequences.
