I wish we had more lead up before the major battle but I guess one could argue that the last 4 books were the lead up...
The end had me all sentimental. These books were a solid piece of my childhood. I think I may need to read the next series to keep the good vibes going

What a fantastic ending to a fantastic series!
It was an epic conclusion filled with twists, turns, and intense battles. It was also a satisfying ending - I felt that every character received the right conclusion.
The Last Olympian centers almost entirely on the camp's final stand to protect Olympus - I have rarely read battle scenes that are as clear and easy to follow.

As sad as I was to come to the end of this series, I think it ended wonderfully! It has tons of action and that cheesy, fun humor that makes Percy Jackson books great. I like the resolution, too.
