Thanks to Edelweiss for an eARC copy of this book.

My first eARC review! Yay!

This was such a fascinating read on various LGBTQ+ people throughout history and how their lives influenced modern day times, on personal, political, and social levels. I loved hearing more about trans people throughout history especially, because these people are so often ignored or dismissed by those who claim that it’s a trend or something new. It was very well researched, and I loved learning about each of the lesser known (in my experience) people in the book.

Pretty good as a researched graphic novel adaptation, the various people featured in this book are all relatively unknown to me, so it is great to hear voices that would have otherwise been lost to history. Also would like to stress that this book focuses on telling the stories and lives of people who the author is inspired by who are trans, non binary, diverse and times Non-U.S. By no means this is an exhaustive book, but it helps for marginalized population to be heard and known.

Beautifully drawn. This is a nice primer on queer historical figures. I love that they included references and resources. Thank you for writing this graphic novel!

This is a very compelling and informative collective biography that also includes the author’s experiences. Each story is so interesting and inspiring. I think this belongs in a middle school library and I can’t wait to buy it.
