Great art, great story, great Captain Marvel. I found the Kelly Sue De Connick version a bit more entertaining - the lighter tone and campiness suited my mood a bit better - but thoroughly enjoyed this version.

Wow! Just terrific. A great mix of space action, horror for a bit and overall just fun.

Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel, decides to take a job as head of space station Alpha Flight. She has to kick some ass in space and solve who's sabotaging the station all at the same time. The story was just two stars, but the art was amazing.

Good, fun, some intrigue, decent action - not as earth-shattering to me as Deconnick's run, but I still very much enjoyed this one. Puck is a new favorite character, and the Carol we've come to know and love lives up to herself : )

With Kelly Sue DeConnick off the job, I was worried I wouldn‰ЫЄt like it, but Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters have picked up the torch and are doing a great job. It‰ЫЄs still a lot of fun and full of action. But I don‰ЫЄt know if they quote captured her personality as well as Ms. DeConnick. (Or maybe they just gave all the good lines to Puck.) Nah, I take that back. I think they captured it pretty well.

But there was some great suspense! I can‰ЫЄt imagine having to wait for these books month-to-month.

And, yay! A cameo from my favorite marvel hero! (No, not Santa Claus.)

But the main take away that really scares me?

Words don‰ЫЄt matter.

I‰ЫЄm scared it‰ЫЄs true.

Carol and the Alpha Team are back with new costumes and adventures. Something strange is happening, calling to Carol in the most unnerving way. It'll take the entire team to figure out what's going on and how to stop it.

I really enjoyed this story but I thought it was going to go a lot deeper. Five issues is not enough to dive into what could have been. A lot of build up with a quick resolution; hopefully we see more of this visited later!

I think this is a well put together comic that I can definitely see people liking.

That said I didn’t feel it, I was unable to get into it throughout my reading. Which i found out because it starts off very strong but then the plot gets very run of the mill with Carol coming to ropes with the job and dealing with her first “diplomatic” threat.

I wouldn’t say it’s bad so much as I would say it’s not my thing.
