The Love Simulation

This book was cute & I enjoyed it but it definitely would have benefited from being a dual POV

The two MCs falling in love didn’t feel organic. It felt like their relationship should have stayed a crush & the epilogue could have been them telling each other they love each other or how they went from like to love. I don’t think the book should have necessarily been longer but I don’t know. I do believe they liked each other I just didn’t see the deep love connection. I think dual POV could have changed that. Also, Bri crushed on Roman so hard & besides him being attractive we don’t really know why.

I feel like the issue they had during the third act breakup was too easily moved on from.

I think bri starting a foundation was very odd just because you don’t make a profit from a foundation for a long time do to quit her job to do that didn’t make sense. I know she had a business degree but still.

🌶️ This is an open door romance but it was pretty mild on the spice description/amount of scenes

I was excited to read this because I enjoyed The Kiss Countdown. This one didn't hit the same. I made it to 31%. It was not holding my attention, and I wasn't connecting with the main characters. I was more interested in if they'd win the Mars simulation contest than the love story.

When the school budget gets rerouted from books to football, Vice Principal Brianna joins a summer Mars simulation to win the funds back, only to get stuck with Roman, the principal’s very handsome son, and a science teacher who drives her wild. You can already guess what happens next. Banter? Top tier. Their chemistry? Off the charts. Etta Easton is now officially on my auto-buy list!

Cute, quick, and fun. I enjoyed the premise more than I expected, and I really liked Brianna and Roman's characters (though I can't fully forgive one of Brianna's choices in the simulation lol).

The characters just fell a little flat for me. We barely hear a word from the MMC until like 60%.
