So so good!! I really enjoyed The Kiss Countdown but the heroine in this book, Brianna, was even more my type of girl. Babbling in front of your inappropriate crush? Feeling embarrassed by and then delighted by Kimberley Lemmings’s “That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf”?? Yes. All entirely relatable. I also adored Angie and her “I could be in Cancún right now” negativity while these teachers are stuck in a Mars simulation for six weeks of summer vacation instead. The Mars simulation kept the plot going, providing plenty of conflict for everyone to overcome, and I loved how Bri was never quite sure if she could trust Roman, the evil principal’s son (a true villain who wants to use library money to fund a football field, yuck gross.) I absolutely love the blend of humor and heat in this book too.
