When I say this was amazing, I mean this was amazing. I really loved reading this because it was so good and impressive for me. This is a topic I have interest in and I've read about as much as possible. But I loved how Bitel made women's history more accessible. She didn't focus on just Christian women, either. Pagan women, Jewish women, and a little bit about Muslim women. It was as diverse as possible with the records available. I was very impressed by it and I definitely want this on my shelf!
