Dude booooooooook. What an experience this was. I felt so connected to stoner and hated his problems and hated his unwillingness to solve and yet so stubborn. What a guy though fr principles in all the right ways in all the wrong places. As my buddy Trevor says, “quietly devastating” but I was moved crazy style. When I was at the Paul Simon concert and he sang homeward bound I didn’t think of myself, I thought of William Stoner and his little academic side piece and knew that’s what home really is, the finding and the holding dear all else be damned. BANG BANG BANG
