More Nick and Charlie and LOTS more Tori. Her and Charlie are very much alike and both have a boy who is willing to look after them. Charlie thinks he doesn't deserve Nick and Tori thinks she doesn't deserve Michael. Also, both boys can cook ☺️

It's been a long time since I read YA, especially one set on the contemporary world, so it took some effort getting past the cringe of the first pages and not-so-well-aged references (especially Harry Potter and JKR ones), but I give a pass because it feels like a real reflection of how adolecents tend to be, or talk. We were all awkward (and still are).
I'm pretty sure if I had read this book a little earlier, maybe 5-10 years ago it would've helped me a lot. Which doesn't mean that I didn't appreciated it now, just that it would've helped me be more conscious of myself, and realize some of what I am. It was kinda hard (emotionally) seeing those pieces of my past self, and I cried to a lot of passages.
I knew Heartstopper from before, but I kinda forgot what I was reading and the... "main" event with Charlie took me a little a by surprise, something, I think, is only the byproduct of great writing, as the same Tori was starting to forget about her concerns with Charlie.
The book is amazing, other than being very clearly stuck in the 2010-ish, just by references, I think there's nothing to criticize that cannot be defended by the book itself. Also, that's the way being young works: you're stuck on your own references of what you liked then, they are deeply attached to the way you grew up, and therefore, the way you are now.
