The book had its issues, but I liked it. I thought it was well written and easy to read. Quite hard to put down! Love that you don’t just read as Kelsea but also as other characters such as the Red Queen and Thomas. And I felt that Kelsea was a heroine you could easily connect to.

I actually enjoyed the struggle of a sheltered country girl to learn how to rule in a corrupt country, but every single other person in this book is all "Look at me, I could be on Game of Thrones, I diddled a kindergartner" "Look at me, I drink blood against the specific advice of my analyst"

I absolutely loved this book! The character, Kelsea, is the same age as myself, so it was very interesting to put myself in her shoes and imagine if I could've done everything she did. The book was very thorough and, as a result, some people may say it was a slow read. While it took me awhile to get through it, I am glad I took the time to read carefully to truly appreciate the book. It is a unique story of instead of the princess trying to live up to her mother's legacy, she becomes her own queen entirely and earns the respect of her people. I can't wait to see how the relationship between Kelsea and the Red Queen unfold, as well as many other things. I am really looking forward to the next book to be released on June 9th and having more questions and mysteries answered. Would definitely recommend to others! Give it try, I don't think you will regret it.

I really found this book to be very refreshing.I love the characters they all felt like genuine characters I have not read about in books for years. I'm so intrigued by the setting of this story and I'm anxious to find out about all the secrets everyone is keeping from Kelsea especially the secret of who her father is. I have a theory and I can't wait to find out. The thing I love most about this tale is that the heroine is truly is a Heroine she is strong and flaw all at the same time. I also love how there is no romance driving the story it is all about a girl(Kelsea) becoming a women/queen. I'm very excited and looking forward to reading book one and two. I hope they will be released soon. I can't wait to continue this journey.
