pretty prose disguised by a book cover that should only be used for a soulless romance book if im honest

The concept was fun to read- two co-authors falling in love while writing books together that conspicuously mirror their own stories. The way it’s written is packed with metaphors and character-driven which I love. I felt each character’s fears and it was an easy book to pick up and get lost in.

A cute idea with an emotional delivery.

Cute

I regret not reading this book sooner!

Maybe a 3.5? I enjoyed this! The prose was excellent and I thought they did a good job of clarifying whose perspective we were getting (probably helps that they are coauthors and then the chapters were titled). There were some plot points that seemed to wrap up a little too easily, but I did enjoy the story very much. I really liked the conceit of this story and where they took it!

i have come out of this story pleasantly surprised. i still have my critics of how certain moments were handled, but seeing nathan and katrina fight through their anxieties and finally come together was exhilarating.
