that was fine. i feel like if i didnt listen to the audio book that would be a different story. idk i liked the concept behind the book but i was never excited to read it. i definitely still liked it but it didnt click with me. the reason for their break up in the past was sooooooo fucking stupid it made me mad. think of something better there is genuinely nothing worse than authors who want to write a third act breakup (just dont do it) and the best they can come up with is “im afraid to commit to you because what if we break uo” like ohhhhh my goddddd you are fully grown adults get over it. heres a crazy idea! maybe you should act your age and just talk to each other! have a conversation! unreal i know…. and the fact that she tried to do it again after reuniting like i want to kill you. i will kill you. she annoyed me so badly. i feel like they definitely belonged together but it couldve been so much more simple if the fmc wasnt annoying and dumb.

maybe because it was a book about writing a book that makes me have so many thoughts I want to share but regardless here they are
-Nathan was a more likable character through and through
-Katrina’s personal issues weren’t developed at all until they stopped the plot in the last 50 pages and then they were so frustrating I just wanted to read through to the resolution I knew was coming
-reading this book, HOW could a man and woman write a romance and NOT fall in love
-I appreciate what they were going for with the MCs and their MCs have 3 syllable female and 2 syllable male names like the authors but jessamine??? Really?
-I will say though that the love between these characters was believable in a way that it isn’t always in romance and that 100% is thanks to the cuteness that is the authors being high school sweethearts turned married co-authors

Magical in every way. Not overly sexed or cliche, and one of the best enemies to lovers books I’ve ever read.

I liked the back-and-forth between the two protagonists and ultimately, the message in the end.
