First audio book experience and I think it was so fitting because it just felt like I was listening to a podcast episode! Listened and loved! Definitely a book to re-read when feeling off track and lost.

As someone desperate for new habit formation, I found that this book had some good takeaways and practical tips to apply to your everyday life. With that said, the writing was extremely repetitive and some ideas were presented more anecdotally/as “common sense” than with actual compelling evidence to back them. In general, the advice in the book also seemed overly simplistic, lacking attention to the ways that personal identity and systemic barriers can make particular habits more or less accessible or achievable to individuals. Can confirm that normative fatphobic discourses permeate this book.

Tells you exactly how to do what you should be doing without making you feel stupid, because if you decided to pick up this book you surely aren't.
