I love love love Brandi Carlile’s music. I enjoyed learning about her upbringing and her road to becoming who she is today. However I couldn’t give it five stars because she kinda lost me with all the reminiscing of who she’s hung out with. No shade. I didn’t perceive it as humble bragging or name dropping for clout. I just didn’t care that much for some sections of the book.

My only complaint is that I didn’t read this sooner. I’ve been a huge fan of Brandi Carlile for years, but didn’t know a ton about her story. Listened to the audio, which is read by her and interspersed with acoustic versions of many of her songs. To me, this is the only and right way to experience the book. Absolutely recommend.
