This book has a lot in it. In turns it is a historical fiction, a romance, a courtroom drama, a political commentary. But while each of these come into the forefront of the action they are all tangled together in a very tight way that you only see looking back on it. Im glad I went into this book blind, because the twists (and there are a couple) were much more enjoyable to read. It works in it's chapter a week format, and as a weekly publication l bet this slapped. Still probably easiest to consume in an audiobook format, but some of the lines in here stick with you. Not just the first and last lines, although they certainly have a weight to them. If you are going to read a classic book you could do a lot worse then this one.
