Enjoyable Read
I read the Bond that Tie books and really really enjoy the story so far. In order to fill the void while waiting for more of that story, I decided to read some of her other work. It doesn’t disappoint, but I enjoy TBTT more. I like the characters and the story, but I feel like they didn’t need to be high schoolers. It felt kind of weird that they were that age. It’s still a fun story, and fills the void while you wait for her other books. There are some flaws, but overall enjoyable.

Um (review for whole series)
Overall, I enjoyed this story. I thought the plot was great. I enjoyed how unique the characters were. I really loved the role of Avery across the series. I liked that the books were slow burn, exploring the increasing attraction between the characters before it was acted on.
I had a few big issues with the story that has unfortunately impacted my opinion.
1. The editing (or lack of). I still don’t know if the character was the Bear or the Boar. The pacing towards the end (before the final stuff) slows down so much that it drags things leading up to the final conflict. This could all have been fixed with good editing.
2. The age of the characters. I get that trauma ages people quickly, but they were freaking 15 in the first book.
3. The final family tree. Either J Bree know what she’s done as far as the half siblings goes or she’s accidentally caused almost everyone to be related in the harem.
None of these are impossible to ignore or overcome, so I choose to remember I enjoyed this series.

As someone who hates bully romance, that part of this book wasn’t bad. I quite liked it.

I was a sucker for this story. I was hesitant. I’m not a fan of the bully HS trope. I feel like once you read one... you have read them all. But this was so different that the couple while awesome didn’t hold a candle to the world around them. I was sucked into the mystery and the characters and the mayhem!! Well written, solid characters, great story

What can I say other than these books are the equivalent of book crack and I’m now a junkie because god damn I couldn’t put these down. I wanted to hate the characters because their so young but no not happening the way they deal with everything thrown at them just made me cheer them on.
