This book was so close to being a 5 star for me. I related so much to Winter and her struggles throughout this book, both as a parent and with her familial issues. The only reason it’s not is because the beginning has the miscommunication trope (in quite an epic way) and I find it really hard to read.

That being said, I understand why the author set out the book the way she did. The story is really about Theo & Winter coming back together and overcoming their insecurities to be what the other needs.

I don’t read many romances where the surprise pregnancy trope is the focus (it’s normally an epilogue addition) and I actually didn’t mind this at all. There is a bit of talk about previous IVF treatment, infertility and miscarriage that maybe triggering to some people, so proceed with caution.

I thought the character development in this was brilliant (particularly Winter) and I appreciated the time we spent with Theo as he struggled through people’s perception of him and his personal life.
Also, watching him interact with Vivi and diving head first into parenthood with no hesitation was *immaculate*.

Elsie Silver did it again with this book and I’m excited to read Beau & Bailey’s story.

Winter recently left her husband and is determined to build a relationship with her sister.  Wanting one with her terribly but also scared to do so.  But not anymore.  She leaves her life behind and moves to the small town where her sister is living in the hopes that they can have that sister bond Winter always wanted.  On her first night there, she meets Theo and it was the funniest thing in the world but didn't really enamor Winter to Theo.  But after a little bit too much tequila they end up enjoying each other and make a one night only contract on the back of a drink coaster from the hotel bar.  Their one night only coaster contract gave them both more than they were expecting. Theo disappears for 18 months to come back to the surprise of his life.

I swear the books in this series keep getting better and better.  I am thoroughly obsessed with this world and the characters.  Theo and Winter . . . man, they left me speechless.  I adored every thing about this book and their story.  I loved how all in he was from day one.  I loved his dirty mouth.  My heart broke when he was devastated by missing out the first 9 months of his life.  His reaction had me in tears.  I loved how he fought for her and defended her.  Swoon.  I really enjoyed the redemption of Winter and getting to know her better.  Understanding where she came from helped me to enjoy her story more.  I wasn't expecting to love her as much as I did after Flawless but I truly did.  Not only did I understand her better after hearing her back story but I think breaking away from Dr. Douche and having Vivi really changed her and made her a better person.  Te vivo.

Loved getting to see Winter finally get her HEA and heal from the trauma of her upbringing and her toxic ex that we saw glimpses of in the earlier books. Silver handled the topics of infertility, abusive relationships, and parenting very well and intermingled it with the joy, growth, and fear found in entering a healthy relationship after a toxic one.
