I love Tucker and Sabrina but I HATE a pregnancy trope

I really liked this off campus book. It did have a lot of heavier subjects compared to the other books, but I liked the realness of it. I can’t wait to read the last one and see how everyone’s lives have been going post Briar. Edit: I just read reviews for the Legacy and I will not be reading it. I don’t want the characters ruined for me :)

This series was a feel good, cozy, warm delightful college hockey romance. Nothing too crazy. Exactly what you expect. Great reads!

My rating: 4/5

I would recommend this book/series!
Specifically for sports romance readers!

John Tucker is the perfect man. Sabrina James is a driven, smart, pretty dumb woman. The way she tried to give Tucker space that was completely unnecesary drove me nuts, even if I understood the why. Tucker is a saint, he had so much patience with her. They were perfect for each other from the start, even with Sabrina resisting their connection because of who she is and where she is going in life. Some people were total assholes to her and I hated each and everyone, she did not deserve it. Even if her resistance of Tucker drove me nuts I totally loved her.

I had high expectations for this one, because I loved the glimpses of Tucker we got from the other books. Unfortunately this didn't do it for me. I'm not a big fan of the unexpected pregnancy trope, and I felt like that just took over the whole story which made the romance hard to believe. It dragged on at parts as well, and the pacing was a little confusing. The banter with the characters was great as always and that kept me continuing to read.

This was a bit of a letdown after coming off the high from the previous book. I’m usually not a fan of surprise pregnancy tropes and unfortunately, this book is another example why. The story started off strong, the male main character was so likeable and the epitome of a gentleman but the female main character was frustrating and so hard to root for because she was constantly getting in the way of her own happiness.
