I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. I’m not a big fan of the “pregnancy trope” but man, there was no one better than Tucker for this.

Tuck is such a gentleman. I was in love with him throughout the whole book.

(To be continued… I’m sleepy

Despite loving the first book of this series I never got around to finishing it.

'The Goal' by Elle Kennedy is the fourth book in her Off - Campus hockey romance series that takes places at a university. John Tucker gets one glance of Sabrina at a bar and it hits him. After that night he's determined that he can convince her to give them a shot. Sabrina has no time for men, she has goals and none of them include getting distracted by some guy, she's going places, namely Harvard to for a top tier law degree. Except that one night is going to have lasting long term distractions. Neither Tucker nor Sabrina were expecting to become parents this young but neither is willing to give up.

This was okay. It wasnt my favourite or least favourite of Kennedy's pairing and as always with her books the pages fly and the words just flow so it's not a hardship to read. Sabrina has the best background and the best rise above and do something with your life story out of all the off campus girls. She's the most well rounded in that shes not there for a guy and shes not going to let his life dictate hers. However her personality just left loads lacking. I'm not talking about her being seen as a bitch or her huge hate for Dean, I just found her abrasive, judgy and she kept talking about how great a friend she was but she kept everyone at arms length including them. Tucker got annoying as the lost puppy dog following her around but somehow she still came across as holding him to such impossible high standards. And his plans for Boston, why didnt he ever talk to her about moving there. Why do people in books never just communicate?

Im not completely against the baby tropes but in this I wish it wouldn't have been used. Instead of Sabrina giving a reason for why Tucker wants to be with her other than intra-lust and intrigue we are stuck wondering if she hadn't gotten pregnant would they have kept going or would they have moved on. Does Sabrina eventually at the end of the book after pushing him away over and over finally fall for Tucker because she loves him or because he's worn her down and knows that he's not going anywheres because of James? She explains that she loves him, things he did for her are listed, but can a relationship be built on loving someone because of all the nice things they have done for you and you never reciprocating? Is Tucker eventually going to resent her? I think im just dissatisfied with the balance of this relationship.

I liked how you got to see the complexities of Sabrina's life and how much depth she had as a character and that you see why others see her as cold, how hard shes working, her vunerable side. But it unfortunately didnt make up for how she treated Tucker.

I will continue to read lots by Elle Kennedy

Good book, I liked Tucker I thought he was so sweet and loveedddd how he was determine to be with Sabrina’! Personally felt like Sabrina was the most realistic out of the girls so commend her for that. Her step dad was creepy AF!! The fact that her Nana just allows him to treat her the way he was …. Was INSANE… like girl,??? We don’t like nana . It’s giving passive aggressive. However Tucker and her as parents was adorable.

The best of the boys, the worst of the books? Genuinely wish this series would release me from its chokehold before I get to the spinoff  series, but alas. I will keep on keeping on for the hockey boys.

My favorite of the series!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think this was my favorite of the entire Off-Campus series. Having read some of Elle Kennedys’ books before I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed but I didn’t realize how much I needed Tucker and Sabrina in my life.

Sabrina, the hard working, self sufficient and determined woman, was amazing. I saw so much of my own thoughts in her. Tuckers’ personality is literally my husband. He’s loyal, steadfast and always there for his woman. No matter what.

I usually hate the pregnancy trope but being a mom myself I kind of loved it! There was still spice…like at less than 10% in
