Užstrigau kažkaip 😀 Primena Once “Upon a Time in Hollywood” - vaibai superiniai, bet kažkokio konkretaus veiksmo kaip ir nėra. Gražus, vaizdingas rašymo stilius, tikrai transportuoja į tą laikotarpį, bet labai trūmsta gryno veiksmo, įvykių.

So authentic, so raw. Loved it!

Took me forever to read it so maybe that had an effect but it just wasn’t as exciting or *scandalous* as I had hoped it would be

Holy smokes, this was good. In fact, I literally said that out loud when I finished it. The story is very cool and interesting; Evie was kind of on the fringes of a hippie cult that ended up committing murder (clearly meant to be based on the Manson family.) She's also the granddaughter of an old time movie star, so it played around with her being both famous and infamous by association. Story and characters were fantastic but what I most loved about this was how insightful the writing is. This really captures what it's like for women navigating their way through a man's world, and there were a few passages I read over and over because she just nails it. And if you ever wonder what women go through every damn day, read the very last scene in this book. I can't rave about this one enough, an instant favorite.
