Cop-out ending. It would have been much much much higher but that ending was like a rotten egg: spoilt and minging.
lighthearted

Soooo cheesy! Went into this not knowing it was a high school love triangle which is NOT my cup of tea. And the fact that one of the dudes happens to be her "Christmas guardian angel" that somehow saved her life...

This was a super charming, sweet YA holiday love story set in a small town featuring Bailey, a young teen girl that just wants her own Hallmark movie style romance. I loved that Bailey works in a bookstore and prides herself on being able to recommend the perfect book to patrons. The librarian part of me connected deeply to this aspect of the story and was also totally there for all the classic holiday traditions, from sledding, skating, cookie swaps and the perfect mall Santa.

What Bailey doesn't bargain on is falling for two boys but which one is the right one? Highly recommended if you're in the mood for a light Christmas story full of the perfect amount of holiday magic. Great on audio narrated by Emma Galvin and each chapter is named after a classic Christmas song which I thought was a fun touch!

honestly the ending was just disappointing.
and high school

This read like a circa 2016 Wattpad fanfic with the only thing missing being 'Y/N' in place of the main character's name Bailey, who of course, is "not like other girls". I gave it 2 stars instead of one because I'm sure there's an audience of young teenagers who would like this, as it's a quick read and it does embrace the Christmas spirit. Although, as a member of an adult audience, it's definitely not something I would recommend. There are much better Christmas/Holiday novels out there that people should pick up before glancing at this one. Honestly, I didn't have a chance to read a few pages of this before buying it, as it was an online purchase, but if I did I wouldn't have picked it up.

I don't want to make this review too negative. So, I want to leave my review based on the fact that I did indeed finish the book, so that has to prove there is something intriguing enough in the book to make you read until the end.

2.5

Middle and high school students will more than likely love this Hallmark-esque romance. It just didn’t click with me.

2.75⭐️

Predictable, but cute. I would have liked more showing, and less telling, though.
