Loveable characters: No

A solid 4 despite some misogyny gripes I had with it.

Women were down BAD for men. It's how I knew from the beginning the killer was a woman. And it irked me that detectives were hyper fixated on it being a man.

I knew it was Paige. I wasn't sure if she and Sam were sleeping together, but I immediately pegged her as the jealous best friend in love with the husband.

Lizzie's character is insufferable, but in an interesting way. A commentary on an unhealthy obsession with true crime.

Derek and Alice are absolutely diabolical and I need a book with the two of them. Maybe that's the setup for the sequel?

And Michael is too clean. He's def got some secrets from Jayne. "Y9u have nothing to worry about." Isn't that the same thing Derek told Alice? Alice is about to wreck their lives.

Hated everyone, but will I be sat for the next book? Absolutely.
