I think this book could have used some inner monologue editing. I pretty much skimmed the last 20% and didn’t feel like I missed much of anything.

Neither main character is likable. Only reason I DNF was pure stubbornness and bc other reviews said it was so good. Terrible.

Why did we have to embarrass the poor guy in every chapter? And then there was blackmail! What a combination

I almost dnf’ed this book like 5 times but kept forcing myself to read because at first it was like bad accident you can’t look away First off Brody gave me the ick so much (no seriously you should see my notes for my highlights) the story line could have been great if it was executed a little better

The second half of the book was great and fun and if the whole book was like that it would have been a 4 star tbh, but there were so many lines I just couldn’t get past bc wtf

Extra points for the loving friendship between Brody and Gary.

Meghan Quinn really knows how to make you swoon over fictional billionaire brothers — I just want more Hardy and Hudson. Hell, I'd settle for a peek into Jude & Haisley's honeymoon. The entire cast was likable and well developed, and the Cane brother connection quickly deepened the plot and set up the series. I'm ready to invest in any Cane-Hopper future ventures. Unfortunately, the MCs were my least favorite characters in this book. 3.5 stars.
