Definitely more of a "comedy of manners" than any of the other Vorkosigan books. I didn't love it but it certainly held my interest.

I had a tremendous amount of fun reading this book. It brings a whole bunch of characters from the previous books together and then sets them loose. Wacky hijinks ensue. (For example, the dinner party from Hell. I almost died!) I think that for me, this book is destined to be one of those books that you dig out when you've had a rotten day and need something to cheer you up. Definitely five stars as far as I'm concerned.

Love this series. Love seeing Miles flummoxed. Love seeing little pieces set in the beginning or in past books brought together.

This is 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 for pure joy. This is a lighter installment in the series that focuses on love and enterprise and relationships. It made me laugh many times and ended exactly as I'd hoped.

Feeling somewhat off color, I decided to treat myself to a relisten of an old favorite. I had forgotten how much I enjoy this well written tightly plotted novel.  I delighted in the depiction of Miles Vorkodigan as the (initially) haphazard romantic hero, who was trying to juggle romance, and political intrigue and machinations. This is an incredibly trans, friendly book. I do recommend it
