Queen Takes Jaguars tells the story of Mayte and her desire to find a sire for a daughter that she longs for. As always, the story telling and writing is exceptional! I've enjoyed reading this book as it tells us the backstory of Mayte and her men. A bit short but nevertheless, a great read!

Loved this!
A novella on the backstory of how Mayte conceived her daughter, by seeking out the jaguar god.
Although only 104 pages, there’s growth in the characters, and it gives you a better appreciation for Shara’s sib (ally).
Also Etzli, her alpha, SO SWEET TO HER. He knows that they can’t sire a child together, though they’ve been trying for over a hundred years, and he truly supports her seeking this god so that she can conceive an heir for her legacy.

Queen Takes Jaguars
It was nice to see how things went down with Mayte Zaniyah and her having her daughter to carry on the family line. This entire series has just been great.

2.5 stars.
Not really necessary to read but it was a steamy encounter. I only really liked the one scene at the end and it was super short so overall just an ok read.

Now that I’ve read a few more books in the series, this just seems extremely unnecessary. Like yes it’s fun to see how they met but everything we found out in this book is pretty much mentioned in others so it does nothing for the overarching plot.
