This might be one of my new favorite feminist texts. Laura Bates is phenomenal at her structure of ideas, at her use of statistics and sources, and at quantifying her ideas in multiple different ways. She is direct and brutal and it works.

I find most non-fictions I read are to supplement information I already have, learn more about an issue I am already familiar with. I knew next to nothing about the manosphere prior to this book (other than it exists) and I felt like my brain was cracked open reading this. This book is challenging and hard to read but I encourage you to read it. The research is impeccable and the information could not be more relevant and important.

It loses half a star because I felt like some of her chapters could have been broken up into more readable chunks but all in all, this book was pretty flawless. Off to the next Laura Bates book!
