Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It is definitely one that had to be read in small chunks. This book was extremely informed and real but definitely hard to stomach at times. If you have any desire to grow in your understanding of extreme misogyny and its foundations, this is the book to read.

As somebody who works with college aged men, this book was super informative to some casual comments and underlying sentiments I encounter. If you work with young  and men in any capacity, I highly recommend this book.

This is one of those books that I wish everyone read.
It was an insightful book, fleshing out some already known terms and view points whilst exposing me to others. It definitely bred some interesting analysis within my own life and was an interesting book to talk about.
The only reason I didn’t give it a 4 star review was purely because there were some opinions and conclusions the author made that I found difficult to agree with or understand.
But for the most part, I really do think it was an important read and I’m glad I’ve read it.

the structure could have been organized a little differently, but other than that, this book was, while unfortunately true in its content, a good insight on the encompassing issue of actions and thoughts towards women/feminine attitudes.

It was incredibly challenging to know the following things;
1. People that Laura talks about in this book exist in large, hidden numbers
2. They could be anyone

This book contains extremely important and helpful information. It is something I think everyone should take a gander at least once in their life - regardless of their gender, sex or orientation. Because this is a reality we all face and interact with, even if it is on very different levels from one person to the next. But it honestly gave me so much anxiety listening to the audio book, that I need to make sure everyone is aware that it is a very difficult read / listen, and it is okay to read it in small doses.
