This is one of those non fiction books that both makes me feel terrified and shout out loud: I told you so.
Detailed and informative which also makes it difficult to read. I wish she'd make these more like pamphlet like so the readership could be larger. I still hope Bates continues to do these in order to correct the fake statistics and falsehoods created by these women hating groups.

i think this was a successful deep dive into modern day misogyny with the examination into the ways that the internet has shaped a culture of women hating. i don’t think any of this was surprising, which is depressing i guess. i don’t think i learned much from this book that hasn’t been circulating in modern feminist discourse in the last few years. would’ve been nice to have some intersectionality, specifically misogyny towards trans women and more on the treatment of women of color.
