gay murder mystery, very good

hell yeah! I'm super biased because I am mentioned in the dedication and the acknowledgements but I loved this. I've seen this story through from the first few drafts and it turned out just as excellent as I expected it to! An amazing LGBT thriller!!!!! Can't wait to see more!
adventurous challenging dark emotional mysterious sad tense medium-paced

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Combine a bi teen detective trying to solve the murder of her ex with a teen fight club, shady politicians, and a cocky and mysterious guy with a sad backstory and you've got You're Next. This is a fast-paced thriller with interesting characters, however it did feel a bit long-winded in parts. Also, unless there's going to be a sequel, the open ending feels overly dramatic and pointless. Overall, while this isn't a perfect book, it was still a fun audio book to listen to.

Veronica Mars meets One of us is lying. Scenarios were a little unbelievable at times (like a CW show where teenagers are all involved with intense v much adult/crime movie). But decent choice for certain readers who are fans of fast paced murder mystery/thriller. That ending tho
adventurous mysterious fast-paced

dude this book was so good yet so fucking long. the characters were diverse and interesting. the plot was faced paced and engaging. the plot twist was SO GOOD. yet the book itself felt drawn out. still really enjoyed it tho. would recommend

I devoured this book. I loved it
The ending though, hated it. It's why I took off half a star.
