adventurous funny

these are so short but fun
I'm getting more attached to the characters and I love the grumpy and sunshine thing we've got. so cold and practical vs idk wtf I'm doing but it's the thought that counts 😅

Another hilarious and over the top volume in this wonderful series! Again, I would normally avoid anything zombie but this manga doesn't just focus on the zombies, it also focuses on funny and hilarious things, like the bucketlist, going to get a tv, visiting the aquarium to get a superhero suit, friendship, and other things. Yes, the zombies are scary and there is some stuff happening that is just NOPE (one which you see on the cover). I laughed quite a lot during this manga and all the ridiculous things that happen. Well, at least our MC and his friend can tick things off their bucketlist. I hope that when they do get to the parents that they aren't zombies. Nope.
Also, once again, if you are bitten stop cowering and just take your responsibility. Dang.
The art, and especially the expressions, are great!

There’s some fun stuff here but not as good as the first one. Props for a VERY clever way to take out the shark zombie (super cool concept btw, I guess the infection can hit other animals too). The flight attendant story started out pretty weak but got good and made for some good character development, even if the ending was also kinda weak. The aquarium stuff is the highlight of this one by far.

Excited to see where this goes next!

The anime follows this along pretty closely. As the series integrates in more side characters I think it becomes more interesting and works better.

Volume 2 and the insanity just goes further. Again, another really fun read. Amid all the buffoonery and zombie shenanigans the story took some time to really out in the effort to make you think about your dreams and about where you want them to take you. I liked how it was about if you want to make something happen then why not do it, and that you don’t always need a reason for it. But it also brought up that you have to take into account how your actions will affect others. It was a good way to temper the carefree attitude with some healthy dose of realism. The first half revolved around trying to find a tv and meeting some folks who proceed to turn into zombies, and the second half was about being caught in an aquarium and facing down a shark that had zombies running around inside it. Definitely a totally zany and fun round involving Akira trying to be a hero and convincing the girl he met in the previous volume, Shizuka Mikazuki, to give her him contact info.

Still really enjoying this series. It has a slightly chaotic and unfocused feel, but I think that's intentional. Akira is still running full-pelt through the zombie apocalypse, but the stakes are still low, there's very little tragedy or even fear, and he's still having a lot of fun checking off items on his bucket list. There are many more zombies in this volume than in the last, which I liked, and although the story felt slightly more like filler than the last volume did, I'm still enjoying it and I'll be reading the next volume.
