This was just so damn cute. Loved it. I mean, it was a little predictable. I figured out who the mystery pen pal was pretty early on, but I really loved how it was handled, and I fell in love with him so fast. I really enjoyed the MC, too, and her songwriting passion. I liked the main female friendship, as well, though I am not a fan of the whole "best friend tries to set up MC because she knows better" trope. But I can definitely ignore that one in this book, since the rest of it was sooooo adorable. Absolutely loved this ten times more than The Fill-In Boyfriend.

4.5 sweet as candy stars ⭐️!!!

Ohmygoddd!! This was absolutely everything I needed right now. Kasie West is my superhero!!

I have also found deep respect towards my younger self for devouring anything I could find by Kasie West.

It’s honestly like a reward that my library at the time didn’t have every book of hers, because now???? I get to fall back in love with her all over again 🫶💗.

So thank you, baby Rhi, for having such amazing taste in authors.

(full review to come, I’m just too sleepy now lol)

#30secondreview cute little high school romance where a girl unknowingly connects with her sworn enemy. the rare YA where the main character considers her bff's feelings before dating an ex. not without melodrama, but a lovely normal family and love interest keep it going strong.

i left the above review on a different book, embarrassingly misappropriating it. had i known it was kasie west i would've been harder on it. but really it's enjoyable for the YA romance that it is.

This book was a good book. At first, I expected some cheesy and predictable book but ended with a well developed story. It was about two teenagers and their journey from enemies to lovers. It is a truly inciting read and would recommend to many people who love a good YA book.

This was pretty predictable for me from the very beginning, which is a pretty recurrent theme with me and Kasie West novels. Anyway, this is a cute one. I read most of it in one sitting, I just had to know more.... so I think it's okay that it's predictable cause that makes me wanna read it quick so I know how the big moments are gonna happen. I think it's the one I like the most so far, but it's only the 3rd one, so I got high expectations for the rest of them.
As it happened with On the fence and The fill-in boyfriend, I think there's room for improvement. I think they could be better in some way, but still they're all so enjoyable and easy to read and I wouldn't say I don't like them, I've given them all a 4/5, but I just think they're not as good as they could be. I don't think I'm gonna rank a Kasie West novel more than a 4, but it's okay, that's not a bad thing! This one is really nice to read, I like the characters, like the story, the writing style is good, so it's positive! I really liked it.

Me ha encantado, son el uno para el otro. Pd: pq se tiene q acabaaaaaar

Felt very middle school, but it was still a good read. Hated the ending though. (why do books need to end on cliffhangers that the authors don't think are cliffhangers. ugh.)

This is magical. Kasie's writing is magical.
I just need more of her stories. The way she writes... Beautiful.

This was a very predictable read. The identity of the "mysterious" letter writer was telegraphed to the reader from the beginning, so that's not a surprise. It very much stays within the scope of a light, cute, hate-to-love storyline. That said, I found the protagonist Lily quite relatable in a number of ways; her love of guitar and songwriting coupled with her desire to stay out of the spotlight resonated with me. I also enjoyed watching the burgeoning connection she forms with her pen pal through their letters back and forth.

This book was totally adorable!!!

I don't care if it was predictable, I don't care if it was cliché, I don't care if it was unbelievable at times, I just really enjoyed reading this book.....
Lily was a likable character, even though I think she needed to give herself a little more credit, she actually was a lot more normal then she perceived herself to be.... I really enjoyed the letter writing, they were also real and raw, and showed both of their true personalities.... that might be my one complaint with this book, you really figured out who the mystery letter writer was from the very beginning, and even though at first I didn't want it to be him, by the end I thought they were perfect for each other... even though I liked that it was him, I thought if we perhaps were a little more misled throughout the book, it might have even got a perfect rating from me...

If you are looking for a sweet, adorable, light and fluffy read I recommend this book....
Oh yes and a special s/o to Bugs Rabbit.....
