The narration on this is weird, with all dialogue having a slight echo, and all chapters announced like a villian titles. The book itself was alright.

as someone who actually has a similar experience to mmc, this was a solid 3 for representation and a bit lower for everything else.

i only started and continued reading bc his experiences were similar to mine, and i've never seen this represented anywhere else. it would be really nice if he had character growth and grew out of referring to himself as a demon by the end of the book. idk, maybe having a stronger message about self-acceptance would fit right in with a romance book.
especially after reading the author's note, where the fact that this was written for the author's son, who has a similar condition, was discussed.

also the "your grace"/"lady grace" thing was really annoying.

Loved it!

I'm so glad we get Grace's story! She is wonderful. Damon is wonderful. And Grace's family is still wonderful. It was so much fun to read, even though I should have gone to sleep hours ago... Seriously, hours and hours ago!

I think I would have liked this book more of it weren’t for the narration. Not necessarily the narrator himself but the way it was edited? It was just weird. The inner dialogue was like distorted or in on ear... it was just all weird. I liked the story though.

I thought this was a Regency. Surprised by all the graphic sex scenes. This was a smut novel in an ascot, but I enjoyed the story well enough. My biggest complaint is the story being bogged down with the constant woe-is-me, everyone hates me from Damon. We don't need to wallow with him, just get on with the story.
