I went into this with specific ideas about what the story would be about Based on the blurb.
It was completely not what i had in mind.
Its a short story, and a romance, so it moved super fast, and didn't give me much.
I assume it connects to some other story/series so it probably makes more of an impact if you have that background/connection. I didn't have that, and this story didn't spark any sort of interest in me to read more.

It doesn't make much sense. The order of events jumps fast. Book needs to be longer and fleshed out more. Not worth the read. The spice is okay.

Was bad but honestly wasn’t my favorite. A lot of room for improvement and character development. The book just didn’t hit right for me.

I don’t think an abused character necessarily works in this short format. It made it feel glossed over and I didn’t like it. If it was longer and perhaps he didn’t quite steamroll her even when he knew her situation I may have enjoyed it. ‘Love’ doesn’t stop triggers lol

I must have listened to the abridged version, because the story seemed to skip over important plot info. Not the best Maya Banks book.
Severely underdeveloped story. Had great potential. But not feeling it as is.
