Zahra is the most annoying character in a book ever. This book was cringe and poorly written but it wasn’t the worst book. I might read the next one only because it sounds more entertaining about the brother.

The premise of this was pretty interesting, although it was definitely predictable and cliche and the writing gave wattpad. I did like Zahra and Rowan together, and there were some cute moments, especially with their text conversations. I just wish the development of their relationship felt a little more realistic, but instead it felt like Rowan was just suddenly very interested. It was a fun read though, and I’ll read the next book.

The Dreamland Billionaires series, each featuring one of the Kane brothers - billionaires with daddy issues - started with the story of Rowan, the youngest brother. Rowan, when he was first introduced, was the typical 'grumpy' capitalist billionaire whose life collided with eternal sunshine but heartbroken Zahra. The pair had chemistry from the beginning, and were sweet (at times), even if the sudden escalation of their relationship did take me by surprise. The third act conflict, although slightly understandable, was resolved way too easily (for Rowan, anyway) to have made it a worthwhile conflict to begin with. I'm just glad Zahra didn't buckle too quickly.
Still, it was a cute and easy romance.
Graphic: Emotional abuse, Sexual content, Death of parent
Moderate: Alcoholism, Cancer, Grief
Minor: Suicidal thoughts, Toxic relationship, Pregnancy
This was recommended by a friend who absolutely adored this series.
It just wasn’t for me
Also I hate second act break ups.

Sigh...another guy being a d*ck in these enemies to lovers trope. At least he redeemed himself. Overall easy read. Didn't particularly feel for him and she was ok.
