Best to read The Humans by Matt Haig first and then this makes alot more sense. Cleverly written and funny.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Matt Haig is a wonderful writer and I love reading about his take on things. It's all about putting things in perspective and it's definitely comforting to know others are having the same existential crises as you are!

This book is a sort of spin-off to The Humans by Matt Haig but could be read by people that haven’t read that fiction novel. This book consists of dictionary entries explaining a selection of words from an alien’s point of view.
Overall this was an amusing read that I dipped in and out of, reading a few entries at a time. I loved the humour and the outsider’s look at the human race which at times was enlightening. Matt Haig’s wit really comes across in this non-fiction release and at only 137 pages it is an extremely quick read.
This would make a great gift to any fan of Matt Haig or just anyone that loves to read. This book has some great ideas and I think it would really spark a discussion between readers!

Rarely have I enjoyed reading a glossary. This ties in very nicely with THE HUMANS and, while independently amusing, will work much better of you've read that novel first. Some very sharp, funny entries, too. Nice, understated humour throughout.

The Humans is one of my favourite books. And this is kind of a companion to it. It's a guide for aliens coming to Earth. In true Haig fashion, it's hilarious and clever well not so subtly pointing out how off kilter our(humans) priorities are. I can't wait to buy myself a copy so I can mark my favourite definitions.

This was a great companion to The Humans novel! Wish I had read it immediately after I finished The Humans. It had some super quotable stuff (hilights shared), some laughs, and some moving content. Bravo again, Mr. Haig.
