I bought a paperback copy of this book from Amazon and enjoyed reading it, though I wasn’t expecting there to be so much sex-based violence. It was my first time reading a collection of extreme horror, so maybe that’s typical for this sub-genre.

A lot of the stories featured intense action. There was some nice suspense in some places as well. “Woodshed” by Ronald Kelly was a really strong start for the book. My favorite story from the book was “The Hate-Box in Her Heart” by Thomas R. Clark. The beginning was disgusting to the extreme and I appreciated the reveal in this one.

While I would recommend this book for fans of extreme horror, I would caution others about the focus on sexual-assault-based horror. It's about a 4.5 star read for me, rounding up because I'm new to this sub-genre.
