Didn’t finish on a reread… Moved back into audiobooks and on to other things.
Moderately good--starts slowly, then picks up, then ends half-heartedly. It seems to frequently descend into cliched young adult dystopian fiction, yet the character are compelling enough to make it interesting.
The 5 factions representing different natures of people are rather similar to Divided Kingdom by Rupert Thomson, so there was a sense of deja vu with this book. The beginning parts of the book where teenager are split into the 5 different factions seems eerily like the Hunger Games.
It's not bad book, but it feels like I've been there many times.

Divergent is just like all the other dystopian novels. The world is split up somehow, teenager main character who is different than the other girls, she falls for the tall dark handsome stranger, somebody wants to kill her. Sound familiar? If you want an original plot, look elsewhere.
However, I enjoy this genre. I am getting tired of the lack of originality but I still enjoy it.
