This was not what I expected at all! I'd describe this book as: very interesting. I understand why so many people love it, but I also understand why others don't. As for now, I am a bit conflicted about the rating and my own thoughts.

I was promised ghosts and dancing with a corpse. I was hoping for more It's All Coming Back to Me. It actually started off pretty amusing and interesting, but the second half ruined any goodwill I had. It became so melodramatic and mind-numbing-ly boring when focused on Wuthering Heights: The New Class.

I don't know what all the fuss is about; I think Jane Eyre is much better. But then again, I've been reading this intermittently... but still... I just want to slap Heathcliff around!

The first 1/3 is so promising but the more it went on, the harder it was to believe it from any angle you try to consider. The characters have 2 emotions making it feel 2D.
