4.1 AVERAGE

It was okay. I didn't love it, and I honestly had a hard time telling the characters apart, but the story is pretty interesting.

I love these!

I significantly enjoyed this book over the previous volume. Scott and Knives broke up (thank god, because the underage relationship was my biggest problem with the last book) and Knives is going completely apeshit. I think a lot of how she acted in this book was COMPLETELY uncalled for but, it is really realistic for how some people act during a breakup. She was comparing herself too much to Ramona and questioning things… even tho let’s face it. Scott ain’t worth that kinda stress. (No really tho how does this man date all these amazing women bc I don’t get it)

I have a very deep appreciation of the artwork in this book. The backgrounds are beautiful and even if the illustrations are kind of silly they are amazing to look at.

I really lked that there was more of a reversal in this book and that they changed things up a bit. Scott beat up Ramona’s hot evil ex-boyfriend (my man Lucas Lee) and defeated him. But, now it’s Ramona’s turn to deal with the same kinda BS and she has a smackdown with Knives.

Super curious to see where the next book takes us, I’m sure it’ll be interesting with the return of Scott’s first heartbreak - Envy.

+++ wallace I love u

I hate writing reviews of books in a series. It's so hard to say something without giving away some plot point from a previous volume. Even if I say, "Scott Pilgrim continues his quest for the heart of Ramona Flowers by battling her second evil ex-boyfriend," that reveals that he defeated the first evil ex in book one. sure, I'd hope you'd be able to figure that out easily enough given this is a six-book series, but still.

Deal with it. Scott battles Ramona's second evil ex. And it's not one of my faves. The build up to the fight dragged a bit in my opinion and then we're given a lackluster fight. There is another fight, though (and I won't say between who), that I found much more compelling. Oh well. There's still four more books in the series, right?

This one is even better than the first!  The premise and characters were already established in the first one, so this one had the freedom to expand upon that.  And oh man, did it deliver!  Super pumped to read the next one!

Silly

Book two, still awesome.

This continues on with more of Scott's history revealed.

His history and past relationship with Kim is revealed, which I'm glad for. I always wondered about their relationship, since she's obviously still not over what he did to her. They didn't go into much details of why they broke up or how, but it's a start.

Ramona and Knives' clash is probably the best thing in this volume, in the movie it was only for a couple of minutes, it would have been awesome if they included this fight.

It's really fast paced, and I like that. now off to volume 3!
