This book was so amazing!! A book within a book and I loved every page of it. Honestly I didn't think I would enjoy it so much because we already knew the killer since the start but the thrill only grew with each page !!

Absolutely amazing! The concept behind the book is something I have never come across before. It is 2 books in one. The read was easy and I just wanted to know more constantly! One of the best books I've read!

I really enjoyed this book!!
the format of this story was something I’ve never seen before. It’s a book inside a book!
Eve Black was the lone survivor of a home invasion at 12 year old. Her parents and little sister were killed. 20 years later she writes a book about these murders.
Throughout the book we follow the killer himself through his POV while he reads Eve Blacks book about himself and the crimes he committed! how cool is that???
the shift between Jim (the killers) POV and the book had me hooked and unable to loose focus. I was hooked from the very beginning.
I highly recommend this book for all the thriller fans out there

This took me longer to read than I'd like to admit. I love Catherine Ryan Howard, but this hasn't been my favorite of hers. I loved the new format, as always, and Howard is always innovative with her writing. However, I couldn't find much about Eve to enjoy or sympathize with, and while I liked knowing who the killer was right off the bat, I didn't understand his motivations. Overall, I would have liked a bit more in order to be more invested in the story. 2.5 stars!
