Meh. Some good ones, some bad ones. This would have been better had it consisted of fewer, longer stories.

A very mixed bag. A lot of the stories didn't have much to do with Alice in wonderland other than a random name drop or an out of place quote that everyone uses all the time. A couple of the stories also made 0 sense, even without tying it to wonderland.

I think there was only really 1 story I enjoyed. It was set in Osaka, Japan and felt like it was more based on the film Spirited Away rather than Alice.

For any other dyslexics, one of the stories towards the end has a... Unique.. Writing style, it got very hard to read and I ended up mostly skipping past it after a page. Bad grammar and sentence flow was constant in it.

So many incredible stories all through the lenses of authors from different backgrounds. You see the essence of Alice in Wonderland strung through them while becoming completely different stories.

Anthologies are really tough to rate! With different stories from different authors, it's really difficult to figure out what to rate the actual collection.

This book is, as the title implies, a collection of stories based on Alice in Wonderland. Some of the stories are continuations of the original book, some are inspired by Alice's adventures, and some are very loosely connected to the ideas of Wonderland. There were some hits and some misses in this book, as to be expected. My favourite was one called 'About Time', in which a 14 year old girl feels she is finally ready to grow up and goes down the rabbit hole to say goodbye to her friends in Wonderland.

If you're a fan of Alice in Wonderland, it's definitely worth skimming through this book and seeing if anything jumps out at you!

I WANTED to like this one so much better than I did. I will say, a few of the stories were maybe 4 star reads, but overall not more than a 3 for the combination of them all.
