If you loved The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams, you’ll love The Rule Book! It is labeled as The Cheat Sheet #2 but can be read as standalone. It just takes place in the same universe as The Cheat Sheet and you’ll see some of the characters in this book. The Rule Book is a second chance love story between Nora, a sports agent, and Derek, a football player, that used to date in college and haven’t seen each other since Nora unexpectedly broke up with Derek before graduation. Now the two are reunited when Nora becomes Derek’s agent and in order to get the relationship to work the two create “the rule book” of rules they must abide by…or break all of them. It was so cute. I listened to it on Spotify.

This book does not deserve its 4.5 star average. The book’s conflict could be solved if only the main characters spoke to each other rather than pining and assuming. I wish the FMC had the same depth as the MMC.

I enjoyed the characters and the overarching plot but the chemistry was way too much about the physical attraction then a human connection
