This was really fun! Very solid adventure/heist plot with an exciting and diverse cast of characters. I was worried that it would be hard to keep track of so many characters and moving parts at first, but the author does a great job of differentiating them and making it clear what’s going on. There were some twists I definitely expected and some I deeefinitely didn’t… though there were so many in the last 10% that it got a little overwhelming. I’ve got to stop reading series openers before the rest are out… I’ll be checking out book 2 for sure!

Deeper than I expected. So much fun! A few points off for the obvious setup for the sequel, though the author did neatly finish this one (I didn’t feel like I was left wanting.) Delightful!

Fun, fast-paced and refreshing. Saw pretty much every twist coming from the start and some of the thievery details were a little glossed over as many things wouldn't actually be possible, but an enjoyable ride nonetheless.
