This was a pretty good book. It started a little slow but by the end I couldn’t put it down. Really good read!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Jessica Arden has penned an introduction to "A Ghosted Cozy Mystery' series that not only hooks you and reels you in, but leaves you wanting more.
The concept for the series is original and current among the throng of cozy mysteries out there - not only does the main character converse with ghosts who need her help, but she is matched up with them through an app that makes matches between investigators and the deceased with unfinished business. Add in the unusual yet adorable pet hedgehog, who is refreshingly articulate when she finally can hear what he has to say, (no 'I has cheeseburgers' here) and this first book in the series is set for success.
The book is well written, with an intriguing mystery that brings to mind thriller plot points, well rounded characters of both the alive and ghost persuasion, and plenty of suspects to keep you turning the pages to the end.
I was provided with an ARC of the book through NetGalley and I look forward to the next in the series.

I am a huge fan of cozy paranormal mysteries, so of course I had to read this one. Right away, I knew I was going to love this. Paige is a great character, and she learns of the paranormal in a very technological way. Loved that! She already has a great support system in place, and I can’t wait to see how that plays out in future books. Add to that great writing, interesting plot, and other great characters (including her pet hedgehog!), this book kept me reading until the end. I think I’ve added a new author to my list! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Delightful cozy mystery with an original premise. Ghosts, a special app, New Orleans, a secret society and a adorable speaking hedgehog named Auguste. Need I say more. If you are a fan of cozy mysteries then you should definitely try this one. Looking forward to more adventures with Paige and her friends. I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.

A cute and cozy paranormal mystery book to transition my reading list into the spooky season. Definitely a nice break from the darker mystery books. The supporting characters were just as wonderful as the main character herself. A great fun and light read between series with heavier topics.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a delightful and poignant cozy mystery set in New Orleans and featuring a main character who has just learned to talk to ghosts. The mystery is a good one, taking the reader all through the city's various neighborhoods and cemeteries (while keeping it very real, which is a nice touch for New Orleanians reading it); the characters are all interesting and well-fleshed out; there's a lot of romance and potential romance; and there's a talking hedgehog. Now, for some readers, ghosts + talking hedgehog might seem to go just past the limit of the supernatural cozy, but I loved it and I think lots of other readers do too. I'm looking forward to reading more in the series!

Once Ghosted, Twice Shy is a fun cozy starring a young woman coming into her own and helping out a friend being wrongly accused of murder. She has help, of course, in the ghost of the victim, the ghosts of her grandmother and her grandmothers bff, a talking hedgehog and her ex-boyfriend. Paige is likeable and quirky and fits right in in New Orleans. This was a sweet start to a new series and I look forward to future adventures with Paige and company.

Paige opens what she believes is a dating app however when she slides up for cute Austin she isn’t agreeing to a date. She is actually agreeing to help a ghost solve his murder. Paige didn’t know Austin was dead until his body lands at her feet, and she hears Austin talking to her. Paige has never helped a ghost before. She doesn’t even know where or how to start. How can she help a ghost solve a murder? Especially since her friend has been arrested for his murder.

If you love paranormal books and cozy mysteries, you will enjoy Once Ghosted, Twice Shy. It’s a enjoyable read filled with fun characters and interesting tidbits about New Orleans. I look forward to more books by Jessica Arden

This is a great book to get into the mood for Halloween. Set in New Orleans, Paige Harrington makes a wish on her 25th birthday to find something she can be passionate about. She didn't expect it to be an app that connects her to ghosts. Her first is a cute bartender that needs help solving his murder. This isn't your normal cozy as it's a bit dark and that makes it all the more fun to read. The characters were all relatable and the talking hedgehog, Auguste, is the best. I'm interested in finding out more about the Enclave.

I just had so much fun with this book, besides being one of my favorite genres the author made it easy to go through the thriller parts. It is an easy read, couldn't put it down and then I didn't want to finish it. I am looking forward to the next book of this series, can't wait to read about the new missions of these unusual characters.
It was perfect for me!!
